"Jesus Christ The Miracle Worker"
MAY 22, 2020

Greeting and salutations to all of my brothers and sisters in Christ and to my family and friends who prayed for me when I was sick - I want to say I am thankful and grateful to all of you.

This is Pastor Mi’guel Adams, I just want to give a brief testimony of the Miracle power of Jesus Christ. I was diagnosed with
Covid-19 April 13 and my condition worsened over the course of two weeks. I could not breathe, eat, brush my teeth, or even take a shower. My symptoms grew worse by April 27. I went to Urgent Care and they conducted tests and I was diagnosed with pneumonia and 2 blood clots in my lungs, lost over 20 pounds and was dehydrated. I had not eaten in days and was very weak. The Urgent Care of Bowie called University of Maryland hospital Baltimore ICU and they admitted me that Sunday night April 27. I was near death when I arrived in the ICU at the hospital. I knew my time was short because I was a very sick man! While I was in the ICU, I began pray with the little strength I had and Jesus Christ came to me and showed me a vision that I had seen years ago and the Lord came to me and The Lord’s Voice spoke to me and said “Ask Me To Save You”. I heard His voice instructing me to pray, and with the little strength that I had left in my body I called out to Jesus and asked Him “Save Me Lord”. I knew at that point I was near death, so I cried out several times with my faint voice “Save Me Lord”. The next day I came out of the Covid-19 ICU and was placed on another floor in my own room. The Lord Jesus’ presence came into my room on Monday night or Tuesday I cannot recall, and He spoke to me directly and said “You Are A Chosen Vessel Unto Me To Tell The World That I Am The Miracle Worker”. His voice was so powerful, loving and assuring that I yielded my very being to The Lord. All I could say was Yes Lord, whatever you want from me and whatever you want me to do, I said Yes and gave Him my life to do what He wants to do in me and through me. He changed my life and made me a new man. The old Mi’guel died at the University of Maryland Baltimore Hospital and I became a new man after Jesus visited and talked with me. I get very emotional every time I think about the Miracle that Jesus gave to me, and the words of life that He had spoken directly to me. I was at death’s door, I could see eternity in front of me and Jesus Christ saved me and performed His Miracle working power and allowed me to live. I have been instructed by my Lord to testify to world that The Lord Jesus Christ is The Miracle Worker! I would love to hear from many you and we are taking prayer request through your letters. You can write to me @ Divine Mission Church #1 51st. SE Washington, 20019. Please believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, repent and give Christ your life today!

“Learning From Affliction”
Part Il
June 26, 2020

What is the meaning of the word “affliction”? The dictionary defines affliction as “something that causes pain, suffering, distress, grief or misery”. Some people may interpret or define “Affliction” in many different ways according to their circumstances or situation. In every life there is a measure of affliction, which may cause discomfort that formulate our attitudes, mindset, personality, and character. However, when we experience afflictions in our lives, these uncomfortable experiences can be used as teaching moments to humble and enlighten us. These lessons can shape our perception about ourselves and others. Through our affliction we can become agents of change to encourage others in their life’s struggles. We must learn to embrace affliction because it is a gift of God. King David stated in the book of Psalm 119:67 “Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word”.
Personal affliction humbles us and should make us more empathetic to others who may be experiencing great hardship. Losing a job, experiencing financial stress, filing for personal bankruptcy, losing a spouse through death or divorce, a tragic loss of a child, family separation, and illness, contracting a disease, and other circumstances that cause distress. Affliction can drain a person of all of their energy and strength and try their faith, but God uses affliction for several reasons. One of the reasons is to draw His people unto Him so that He can become their source of strength. Secondly, afflictions can teach us how to trust and depend on God in every area of our lives and thirdly, afflictions can transform a person into a vessel of great compassion. King David stated in the book of Psalm 119:71 “It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes''. David learned the value of embracing his affliction that allowed him to have faith and complete obedience to God.
As I reflect upon my own afflictions, I have come to realize that they are gifts from God. My afflictions have humbled me in ways that have transformed me from being judgmental, proud and disobedient unto a faithful, loving and compassionate Servant of God. I am learning to accept this great gift called “Affliction” because it has birthed new life, a renewed mind, and a transformed heart within my soul. So, I thank God for this gift above all others because it has taught me to trust and obey the Word of the Lord.

“The Lord Jesus Christ is The Miracle Worker”
June 12, 2020

In the four gospels that are recorded in the Christian scriptures (New Testament) the miracle power of our Lord Jesus Christ is demonstrated through physical healing, spiritual deliverance, raising the dead, walking on water, calming storms, feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fish, turning water into wine, casting out demons, and transforming himself from his natural state unto His heavenly glory. These are just a few of the miracles that our Lord performed in His earthly ministry. Let’s define what a miracle is? The dictionary’s definition of a miracle states “a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency”. My definition of a miracle is defined as “something that only God can do or perform”. A miracle is out of the realm of the ordinary or natural, because it is divinely orchestrated and it cannot be explained, understood, comprehended, defined or duplicated by man. Only God can work miracles, because man is limited in power and authority. If man had power to work miracles, the diseases that plague our land would be eradicated. The Lord Jesus in his earthly ministry performed multitudes of miracles that the scripture stated in the gospel of St. John 21: 25: “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written”. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only miracle worker in this life and no other man or woman can proclaim that authority or power.

It is imperative to understand that only The Lord Jesus Christ has all power in his hands to provide miracles for His people according to the book of St. Matthew 28:18: “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth”. He solidifies His position as both Lord (God-creator) and Christ (redeemer) by working miracles throughout the Holy Scriptures. These miraculous events were unexplainable and incomprehensible as well as inconceivable to man’s understanding. The scripture proclaims that God cannot change, lie, or fail so if we believe that The Lord Jesus Christ worked miracles in years past he is well able to work any miracle that you need today. The question that our Lord Jesus is asking you according to St. Matthew 9:28: “Believe ye that I am able to do this”? You must believe in God’s miracle working power to receive a miracle and trust that He is able to do what you are asking Him to do for you. The Lord Jesus Christ is still the healer of all diseases known to man. He is the sole deliverer from all bondage, addictions, afflictions and pain. He is the great emancipator that sets the captives free. He provides food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, clothes for the poor, money for the unemployed and underemployed, protection for the weak, and salvation for the lost. Whatever you need, The Lord can produce a miracle in your life, because he is the miracle worker.

“God Is in Control Of All Things”
June 4, 2020

The world is experiencing a pandemic of un-measurable proportions. This unprecedented season has produced fear, depression, worry, sickness, unemployment, bankruptcies, financial burdens and more. This pandemic has caused people to have an ominous outlook on life and their future. Some religious leaders are predicting that this is God’s wrath on sin and that the Lord is judging His church for the scripture states in 1 Peter 4:17: “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God”? We have to remember as the people of God, that The Lord Jesus Christ is in charge and in control of all things in the natural as well as the spiritual. The scripture states in the Colossians 1:17: “And he (Jesus Christ) is before all things, and by him all things consist”. There is not any event that happens in the world or universe that The Almighty God has not orchestrated for His glory, but remember the scripture stated that “for God cannot be tempted with evil neither tempts he any man”. When the Lord allows trials, test, disease, sickness, or any other unpleasant things to occur in the world it is for The Lord’s purpose. God’s word states in the book of Roman 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.
Let’s take a closer look at this scripture and the words that state, “to them that love God and who are the called according to his purpose”. The answer to this pandemic or any other life changing event is found at the very end of this scripture that states according to God’s purpose. The Lord Jesus Christ has a purpose for this unfavorable and unprecedented season. It maybe to call the church and the world to repentance, a call for a revival of salvation and deliverance, to warn the world that the Lord is coming soon or to demonstrate His power to the world, but whatever the reason The Lord allowed this, it is for His purpose. One thing for sure, the Lord is showing the world that He (God Almighty) is in control of all things. This season will not end until the Purpose of God is fulfilled. The Father has called all men unto repentance and to believe on His dear son The Lord Jesus Christ. You can be sure that the Lord Jesus will be glorified and His purpose will be revealed to all people of every nation. His purpose is working for our good to draw all closer to the Savior because the scripture states in II Peter 3:9: God is not willing “that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”. Through God’s purpose a universal revival will commence and the move of God will draw souls unto Him. This is the beginning of The Lord Jesus Christ positioning His return to rapture His church, but the Lord desires all souls to be saved. In the near future The Lord will send greater signs and wonders that will cause men to fear the Power of God and repent. To the Saints of God, this is a glorious time because our redemption draws nigh, but to those souls who do not know The Lord please call on His name and ask Him to save you. Our God has all power in Heaven and in earth and He forever sits on the throne and the people of God have nothing to fret or fear. Our God is in Control!

"Where Will You Spend Eternity?"
May 28, 2020

What is eternity? I would define eternity as the spiritual dimension in which God has created for the souls and spirits that He has made to live forever. The book of Ezekiel 18:4 states “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine. The soul is defined as that spiritual part of all human beings that will live forever in Heaven or in Hell after the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Another spiritual fact about the soul, is that no one can kill or destroy it but God. The soul is eternal and only God can allow your soul to die. According to Ezekiel 18:20: “The soul that sins, it shall die”. Also, The Lord stated in St. Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”. Many people ask the question how long is eternity? The answer is It is forever. There is no time frame in eternity which means years months, weeks, days, hours, minutes or even seconds are counted neither is there a beginning or ending in eternity. The Lord Jesus is the creator of eternity where souls live forever with Him. The question I would like to pose to you is “where will you spend eternity”?

There is an eternity, The Lord Jesus Christ stated in St. John 5:24: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hear my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life”. When a person dies, their soul will live in Heaven with The Lord Jesus for eternity or the soul will be separated from God into Hell for eternity. The only way that a person can be sure that their soul will live in Heaven is through placing their faith in the saving grace of The Lord Jesus Christ and receiving Him as their personal Savior and Lord. Also, repenting of their sins, being baptized in water in The Lord’s name, and living a life of holiness and obedience before the Lord. According to God’s word, this will assure that your soul will live in the the glory of Heaven. However, without knowing the Lord Jesus Christ a soul is lost and cannot enter into the city of Heaven. Receiving the Lord Jesus is the Only way to Heaven because the Father has made Jesus both Lord and Christ, he is the only Savior that can save your soul, and forgive your sins. The scripture states in 1 John 5: 11, 12: “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life”. In concluding, the word of God is clear concerning eternal life that The Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who can give everlasting life to any soul who put faith in Him.

      "God's Salvation Gasoline Station"
September 10, 2016

I was driving down Heaven's road one bright and sunny day, when I saw a sign on the side of the road that read; "God's Salvation Gasoline Station is only fifteen minutes away." I thought to myself what kind of name is that to give to a gasoline station, for I haven't heard of a name like that anywhere in this nation. As I got a little closer, I could see a sign that read 'Free Gasoline All The Time.' As I drove to the gas pumps, the words on the pumps were really, really strange. They had on them: regular faith, unleaded understanding, and super strength all in Jesus' name.

An Angel approached my car and asked: "What kind of gas do you need"? If you want to, you can serve yourself; but we do have full service, you may need some assistance from someone else." I got out of my car and asked the angel; "What gas should I fill up with to stay faithful to the Lord and on one accord?" The Angel said: "Just fill up with ten thousand gallons of super strength, measured off by twelve million gallons of regular faith, and let them equal up to twenty-two billion gallons of unleaded understanding and with this you can run a good Christian race."

Then I said; "But there's something else that I need. I really need a friend indeed. Do you have any gas to fill my empty heart?" And the Angel said; "My son, I will fill your empty heart, for I am the Lord thy God." He filled me up that very day and he changed my life in every way. He filled me up with faith, understanding and strength. And he said; "Come back, I hope to see you again."

I got back into my car while the tears rolled down my face, and I said to myself; "Surely this is a wonderful place where all men can come to be revived and forgiven of their sins, and where sinners can be converted and reborn again." I was about to leave when the Angel handed me a road map and said; "This is the road map to God's salvation that will make you rich in wisdom and ever so free, but you have to study this map and you have to read." He said: "Well my son, you finish your course and run a good race, and if you ever get weak along the way, just remember you have a place where you can go to be revived inside your soul. Go and tell the young and tell the old to keep the faith and stand bold".

"God Is Looking For Unwanted Trash”
February 12, 2016

I would like to engage your mind in reflecting upon the word “Trash” which reminds me of something that is useless, smelly, and disregarded. The word “Trash” is defined as worthless or discarded objects or matter. Also, trash can be considered as waste, the remnants of something that was initially useful or good. Society may consider people who search through garbage looking for food insane or unstable because sound minded people usually do not indulge in picking through trash. When I was a teenager, I owned a ten speed bike. I loved my bike and rode it almost every day. As time would have it, my new bike began to look old and used because it had lost its appeal to my senses. The chain had rusted, the seat was worn, the rims and tires needed to be replaced, and the paint was peeling off the frame. I enjoyed riding my bike when it was new and shining and appealing to the eye, but as my bike began to deteriorate, I lost interest in riding it. So, one day my mother was cleaning the backyard and she disposed of my unwanted bike that I had stopped riding for a long period of time. The morning that she placed the bike at the street curb in front of our home for pick up, one of my neighbors saw the bike frame and asked my mother if he could have the frame for which she replied yes. This young man carried that unwanted, worn, deteriorated, old rusty frame to his home and through his creativity and vision he had created one of the most beautiful bikes that I have ever laid my eyes upon. This young man saw something that I had considered as old, useless “Trash” and his faith made it a Treasure. I was very angry and upset because he had taken my unwanted “Trash” and transformed it to a trophy bike for all my friends to see.

I am reminded of the old Hebrew text found in Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”. What man sees as worthless, The Almighty God sees as worth. What man sees as “Trash”, God sees as a Treasure. The world will put you into a trash bin but God will retrieve you from the garbage disposal. The power of God is able to save, redeem, deliver, heal, wash, cleanse, and transform a life that was previously considered useless, shameful, and sinful. It is imperative to understand that God is looking for unwanted trash that he can cleanse, and restore to perfection through The Lord Jesus Christ. You may feel like “Trash” but if you come to Jesus Christ just as you are, He will make you a living miracle for all the world to see, the “Trash” that God made into Treasure. The Apostle Paul stated in the book of II Timothy 2:21 “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work”. God is looking for unwanted Trash to change into holy vessels that will be used for His Glory.

  “Making Your Happiness a Habit”
  January 25, 2016

What is happiness to you? Is it having a loving marriage, great relationships, a well-paying job, respect from your peers, traveling the world visiting exotic places or maybe having good health? Some people can differentiate between what brings them happiness from what their neighbor considers as happiness. What events have you experienced in your life that has created happiness for you? Have you ever been truly happy concerning the quality of your life or the circumstances that have shaped your life? I guess we all have experienced happiness in this life one time or another. I believe that we all have shared in the experience of being in a state of happiness at different stages of our lives, but for most of us it was short lived. Every person will experience happiness for a brief moment or even a season then it seems to wither away as a fresh cut rose. The dictionary defines the word “happiness” as quality or state of being joyous, glad, or content. Also, happiness is defined as a state of enjoyment, and a general inner feeling of satisfaction. I have often reflected on what is true happiness, and where does a person search in order to experience this euphoric state. Why is it sometimes so difficult to maintain or sustain the state of being happy? Many people in our society maintain other life altering habits yet happiness seems to elude many intelligent, wealthy, educated, poor, and gifted people.

As I reflect upon my own life, my greatest state of happiness that I have experienced was when I chose to obey and walk in the will of God. I realized that I could experience a life time of divine happiness and that it was a gift from God that I could accept or reject. The Apostle Paul stated in Philippians 4:11 “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content”. God’s word reveals to his people where happiness originates and how we can have perpetual happiness in this life. In Psalm 16:11 King David declared unto us “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”. Many people are searching their lives for the right person, event, experience, success, pleasure, and possessions that they believe will create the happiness that they desire. However, eventually everything that they achieve fails to satisfy their souls and the longing for happiness. Making your happiness a habit requires prioritizing God’s word and living in His presence every day until it becomes a lifestyle. Remember, that the word “habit” means “action that has become nearly automatic through deliberate or unconscious repetition”. The Lord Jesus is concerned about our happiness and he has invited us with an open invitation that echoes through the corridors of time to “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. The song writer wrote these lyrics that says “You have longed for sweet peace, and for faith to increase, and have earnestly, fervently prayed; But you cannot have rest, or be perfectly blest, until all on the altar is laid”. Proverbs 3:13 states “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding”. Make your decision to love and follow The Lord Jesus Christ and He will offer you happiness that will create a habit in you.

"True Riches"
January 18, 2016

Have you ever asked yourself what are true riches? Is it possessing a substantial amount of money or owning expensive mansions, luxury vehicles, yachts or doing what you want when you want to do it? People in the world look at riches totally different than what God’s word defines as True Riches. Some people believe that if they had more money they would be happy and satisfied with their lives. Some feel that having riches would give them peace and tranquility, even rest in their soul, but having worldly riches is temporal and not eternal. God’s word states in I Timothy 6:17 “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy”. It is imperative that we understand that worldly riches are brief or short lived and they have an expiration date, but God’s riches are everlasting. The Lord does bless His people with many blessings and riches are just one of his manifold blessings. Having good health, a sound mind, love in your heart, having eternal salvation, your sins forgiven, God’s favor, having a family, friends, a job, and a home are just some of the many blessings that The Lord Jesus has bestowed upon us His children.

Lets expound upon the parable of Jesus Christ found in the gospel of St. Luke 12:16-21 “The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater, and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God”. This parable examines what God views as true riches which are not defined as having a substantial amount of money but being in right relationship with God. What message is The Lord Jesus conveying to us when he declares “So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God”. Being rich toward God encompasses several areas of a persons life which includes: your service toward God and people, your commitment to Jesus Christ, your faithfulness to The Lord, your giving of money and time to ministry work, your obedience to the word of The Lord, and your love toward God and His people. When these areas are pleasing toward God you will begin building your treasures in heaven and experience God’s riches in your life. The song writer wrote this song: “You may build great cathedrals large or small, you can build skyscrapers grand and tall, you may conquer all the failures of the past, but only what You do for Christ will last”. Make your eternal decision to give your life and follow The Lord Jesus Christ and He will give you the True Riches of His love.
